Hi! I'm Adam...

I'm a theologian who focuses on the doctrine of the atonement, exploring the many ways in which the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ effect the reconciliation of all things to God. I've written two books: God's Being in Reconciliation: The Theological Basis of the Unity and Diversity of the Atonement in the Theology of Karl Barth and Atonement: A Guide for the Perplexed. In addition to biblical, theological and historical explorations of the atonement, I also enjoy exploring the contribution of literature and other fields to the topic. I'm Assistant Professor in the Torrey Honors Institute at Biola University in La Mirada, CA. My wife, Katrina, and I have been married 12 years, and have three sons. We love camping and exploring America's National Parks.
